AGM: The 84th Club AGM will be held at 7:45pm on Monday 6th July. All are welcome.Leagues: Sean Stack was completed on 18th May. BJ O'Brien's team won the Premier section with Kathleen Vaughan's team taking the 1st Division.
President's Prize 2009
Well done to all. After 5 hard weeks the President's Prize was completed on Wednesday 27th May 2009 and prizes were presented by our President, Gerry Kelly, at a gala celebration on the night. Pat Barry was the eventual winner from Nuala Ramsayer and Terry Walsh.Other prizes were awarded as follows:
Best Past President: Conor O'Hara
Best Regional Master: Aoife MacHale
Best Area Master: Eileen O'Donovan
Best Intermediate: Carmel Beatty
Best Lady: Kay Meade
Best Man: Des Scannell
The top 5 finishers in each direction each night earned points. Points count with different partners.
Final scores here The Player of the Year prize was also awarded on the night. This was won by Conor O'Hara.

Fullerton Cup
Well done to Brian and Ann Cleary who won the Club Mixed Pairs Championship from Carmel Higgins and John Clarke with Miriam McConville and Paul Porteous third. The competion was close with a very tight finish.Final results here

Wigoder Pairs
Teresa Rigney and Jill Kulchycky win the Wigoder Club Pairs Championship, overtaking the 1st session leaders Sean O'Lubaigh and Mary Finn with Des Scannell and Michael McAuliffe third. Final results here

Butler Teams
The Butler Teams was held on 11th and 18th February. It was won in a split tie by BJ O' Brien's team from Pat Barry's team.1st: BJ O'Brien, R Milne, J Heneghan and P Pigot

Graham Cup
The Mens and Ladies Pairs, sponsored by Conor O'Hara, is the first club major for the new year. There was a good turn out and Peter Pigot and Terry Walsh were convincing winners with Grainne Barton and Maria Barry winning the Ladies' section. Full results here.

Wigoder Teams
The Wigoder Open Teams, held on New Year's Day was won by Helen Holman, Jim Mulally, Ronan McMaugh and Henry Barron.
Mixed Teams
The holders of the Mixed Teams, sponsored by Grace Finegan, increased their first session lead to win comfortably. P Walshe, G Barton, P and M Barry had a commanding lead of 35 points from D Scannell, B Lynch, T & P O'Neill. Final Placings:

Morgan Trophy
The first major of the year, the Morgan Pairs, was won by BJ O'Brien and Peter Pigot, followed by Teresa Rigney and Bernie Lynch. BJ is pictured being presented with the trophy by our President Gerry Kelly.Full results here

A Swiss Pairs event was held on Wednesday 24 September. Once more our ladies did us proud with Patricia Kelly and Sandra Newell winning narrowly from Pat Ryan and Pat McMahon.

World Mind Games
The 1st World Mind Sports Games was held in October in Beijing. This included Bridge, and details, including participating teams, can be viewed here
The Player of the Year Competition started on Wednesday 3rd September. Points will be awarded for Wednesday night game (excluding Majors), finishing at the end of the President's Prize.
